sporto sociologija statusas T sritis Kūno kultūra ir sportas apibrėžtis Sociologijos šaka, nagrinėjanti įvairaus amžiaus žmonių, socialinių grupių santykius bei ryšius apibrėžtuose kūno kultūros ir sporto vyksmuose, sudaranti kiekybinius ir kokybinius sporto teorijos ir praktikos modelius. Sporto sociologija yra sporto mokslo dalykas, kuriuo stengiamasi atsakyti į daugelį klausimų: kodėl žmonės sportuoja, ką sportinė veikla gali duoti žmogui be galimybės išreikšti save, atgauti jėgas, patenkinti troškimus.
